April 29-May 3, 2024

Monday-We will discuss dos and don’t for preparing tonight for the STAAR test and for taking the STAAR test tomorrow.

**Make sure chrome book is charged and bring charger to school tomorrow!

**Get a good night’s rest.

**Eat a good breakfast.

**Bring snacks and water for during the STAAR. (Nothing messy. Not just sugar. The goal is not to                       eat but to help you focus on the test.)

**Come to school with a mindset to work hard and try your best. No matter the outcome of the                               test, YOU are smart! This test does not show how truly great you are! I just want you to try                               your best. I believe in YOU!

Tuesday-Math STAAR Test

Wednesday-Updated: We will begin the coordinate grid.

Thursday-We will begin the end of year Math IXL snapshot. If you finish this today, you will work on recommendations unless you are already at the end of year level for sixth grade.

Friday-Continue snapshot. When finished with snap shot, we will make a picture using a coordinate grid.

Updated Thursday and Friday, November 1-2

Thursday will be a day to finish the unit 3 test or make corrections if necessary. I will try to update all grades this evening or in the morning. Also, to help with test grades, I am sending home a “take home” test. This will count as a test grade and is required! This test will be due on Monday, November 6.

Friday, we will start unit 4 with Ratios. Possibility of homework if not finished in class.

6th grade math is pretty tough! Lots of new rules to remember! They are learning so much and even if the grades don’t always show it.
