6th Grade Math

Monday-6.3CD-Practice adding and subtracting integers. If you don’t finish in class, you need to finish for homework. Needs to be turned in by Tuesday.

Tuesday-6.3CD-Quiz on adding and subtracting integers. (I will be out today. I’m going to support my 10th grader at state marching contest in Waco)

Wednesday-6.3CD-Early release. We will use this day to finish up the quiz and continue practicing adding and subtracting integers.

Thursday-6.3CD-Multiply and divide integers with models. We will take notes on multiplying and dividing integers. You will also have homework tonight which will be due tomorrow (Friday).

Friday-6.3CD-Multiply and divide integers. We will take notes on multiplying and dividing integers.

Friday is the last lesson in unit 3. We will do our unit review on Monday (October 30) and take the unit 3 test on Tuesday (October 31)

We will begin the 2nd 9 weeks on Tuesday! Hard to believe that we have been in school for 9 weeks already!

We will begin Unit 3 which is a study of integer operations. We will be learning how to add, subtract, multiply, and divide positive and negative whole numbers which are called integers.

Friday-6.3D-Unit 3 Lesson 4. Subtracting integers with algorithm. Notes in class and homework due on Monday.

Quiz over adding and subtracting integers is projected to be on Tuesday, October 24.

This week is a testing week. We will have a quiz over multiplying and dividing with fractions and then we will have our unit 2 test which covers decimal and fraction operations.

Tuesday-6.3E-Quiz on multiplying and dividing fractions. Will hand out Unit 2 review to work on for homework.

Wednesday-6.3E-Work on Unit 2 review. I will work a problem from each section. Any of the review not completed during class will be for homework and is due tomorrow. Parent’s can sign the review for 5 bonus points on the test.

Thursday-6.3E-Test on Unit 2. (Add, subtract, multiply, and divide decimals AND multiply and divide fractions.)

Friday-6.3E-Finish test or make corrections if necessary Finish up any unfinished work. All work is due by today or will be a zero.

October! Already! The school year is flying by! We just have two weeks left in the first 9 weeks of school.
